Aldila VS Proto is a shaft designed for a low to mid launch angle. The driver shaft is 46" which is a bit longer than standard. This shaft is designed to be for players that want distance and have great control.

Its good for you if you can hit it well.....otherwise no........What matters is what you can do with it....not what someone else can do with it. Same goes with opinions on which shaft is better a or b......

that's an amazing shaft.
i can't believe that you got offered ta burner for $110, let alone with a custom shaft. take it up. my friend has a vs, it's blue and tan right? if it is, then it's an awesome club, and go for it. |

Aldila VS Proto has a low trajectory and low torque. It means that it's a shaft for pros with swing speed around 110 MPH and your ball won't fly high enough if you don't swing fast enough.
It might feel too stiff for average golfers. |

That shaft costs about $180 if you wanted to buy one and put it into a driver. It is a very good shaft. If you will be able to hit it the way you want is another matter. It has a mid kick point which keeps the ball on a a fairly low trajectory. I have that shaft in my Titleist 907 D2 and like it a lot.
